These are obviously enormous books, being over 1,000 pages each. There are 2 separate omnibus volumes, collecting the first and second half of the story. I started this way, but ended up buying the hardcovers because I re-read them so regularly and they look much nicer on a bookshelf. The cheapest option are the softcover TPBs if you're jut looking to read the story from start to finish. Even though there's a number of different ways the story has been collected, it all comes down to personal preference.
I have the 6 individual hardcover collections, as they are the most comfortable to read.
