I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. I don’t see anything that says this is the first in a series, but it reads in such a way that I want books for the rest of Bash’s secret billionaire brotherhood. And if that makes no sense, well, guess you’ll just have to read the book! There is a part at the end that I can’t really talk about because SPOILERS, but I ugly cried at how sweet and wonderful and just VALIDATING it was.

While I love laughing, it was these sweet (or sometimes bittersweet) moments that made my breath catch and tear prick in my eyes that really drew me to this book. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud scenes in this book, but my favorite moments are the ones where Rowe’s real self (usually accidentally) shines through. (Lots of secrets with this crew!) My stomach was tied in knots right along with him as he deals with his confusing emotions of being angry at Rowe for being a lying-liar but also really attracted to him physically and intrigued by the little glimpses of Rowe’s real self that slip through. I LOVE the way Bash teases and low-key torments Rowe as payback for pretending to be “Sterling Chase” – the name of the company Bash and his secret billionaire buddies secretly run. This hilarious rom-com requires a generous dollop of suspension of disbelief, but if you’ve read other books by Lucy Lennox I think you’re well prepared for the wackiness.

I love a hot mess MC who gets himself into the most ridiculous situations.

I have to choose: risk the company or say goodbye to the man I’m falling for. Until I learn that this cutie’s intent is to defraud the company I’ve spent years building. I’ll teach him a lesson that will hopefully wind us both up in bed… with nothing but the truth between us.īut it turns out his shameless lies are enchanting… unintentionally hilarious… and make it all too easy to forget the truth… So I do him one better and pretend to be Sterling Chase’s new assistant. Two can play at the lying game, though, and I’m not about to let some burrito-delivering, floppy-haired virgin from Indiana best me at a game I was born to play. Rowe Prince is a lying liar who windmills into my life in full color, claiming to be Sterling Chase, a quirky, eccentric billionaire… and founder of the company I created.
